Mind's Manifestations- 1

From a layman’s point of view!!

The word MIND means different things to different people and it’s precisely this, that makes it a very interesting, and is worth interpolating on its manifestations. But then what is MIND? Is it an organ? Is it an entity? Is it a creation of the human brain? Is it a conscience? Or is it the soul?

Once that is figured, then a second series of questions pop up. How is it formed? What is its objective in a human life? Is it a friend or a foe? Is it required for human existence or not. And more so what is its significance in a human’s life? It can actually make your mind pant.

Okay let’s try and make this a little more chewable by trying to understand the properties of a mind to give us some sort of direction in this quest. It’s something that tries to make up meaningful understanding of situations. It’s something that helps us to preserve ourselves from destruction. It’s something that gives the ability to make choices. In a nut shell it’s probably an expert understanding mechanism for self preservation and happiness. It’s a tool for thinking that is the prerogative of only human beings and not any other species of this planet.

Now that brings us to the next level, which is its formation. If all humans are born the same, and as an infant are no different from other infants across the globe, then all humans must have the same type of a mind. If the composition and structure of a human is exactly the same then why is it that the mind is different? The only possible conclusion at this point is, the probability of diverse inputs at the time of their upbringing during the formative years..

So will that lead to defining the mind as a hardware tool made up of flesh and blood and the upbringing is the software that drives this devise? If the answer was so simple why not make a universally accepted software to make the world more harmonious and with no discrepancies for peaceful co-existence? No manifestations but universality of the mind.
